«Москва под Угрозой» – совместный проект Информационного портала «Архитектура России» и Московского Общества Охраны Архитектурного Наследия (MAPS). Это общедоступная база данных исторических зданий Москвы, находящихся под угрозой разрушения или сноса. В условиях дефицита официальной информации о составе и состоянии архитектурного наследия города, этот проект станет первым открытым источником постоянно обновляемых сведений об объектах, нуждающихся в особо пристальном внимании общественности, специалистов и прессы.
Архи.Ру (archi.ru) в течении нескольких лет занимается разработкой подробной структуры описания памятников архитектуры. Еще одно направление поисковой работы Архи.Ру – создание распределенных баз данных, позволяющих объединять усилия нескольких исследователей в совместном информационном проекте. Интренет-проект «Москва под угрозой» стал пилотной версией наполнения и публикации такой базы данных.
Одна из основных целей деятельности MAPS (www.maps-moscow.com) – насыщение информационной среды, связанной с сохранением исторической архитектуры Москвы. MAPS собирает, проверяет и публикует сведения, касающиеся реставрации, нового использования, а также искажения и разрушения памятников архитектуры. Благодаря контактам с архитекторами, специалистами по охране наследия, журналистами и краеведами нам удалось собрать данные более чем о 150 зданиях. Технологии, предложенные специалистами Архи.Ру, позволили донести до широкой аудитории накопленную информацию, а также постоянно обновлять ее, в том числе, и при участии посетителей сайта.
Создание информационных проектов в сфере недвижимого наследия оказывается эффективнейшим инструментом формирования гражданского общества, способствуя открытости информации, привлечению внимания молодежной аудитории, вовлечению горожан в дело сохранения исторической среды, противостоянию бюрократизации и коррумпированности государственных учреждений.

‘Moscow Under Threat’ is a database of the city’s buildings that are under threat of demolition or disintegration. There is a lack of official information about Moscow’s architectural heritage and there is no publicly accessible information either about the number of historic buildings in Russia’s capital, or about their present state of repair. This situation suits the authorities during the present building boom when property prices in Moscow are rocketing and real estate one of the most profitable sector’s in Russia’s new economy. Because the scale of the present problem has not been determined, the authorities are not faced to take responsibility for it.
This project fills that gap. Through contacts in the Moscow civil service, journalists, architects and preservation activists in Moscow, MAPS has collected data on historic buildings that face demolition or disintegration through neglect. We have approximately 150 buildings on the list.
‘Moscow Under Threat’ is an interactive database created in cooperation with website ‘Architecture of Russia’ (www.archi.ru). Over the course of the last few years Archi.ru have been creating a suitable structure for such a project, a database that can be used simultaneously by several researchers.
The database consists of the addresses of the buildings in question with accompanying picture(s) and descriptions of (in Russian only), the history, significance and the nature of the threat each building faces. These threats range from demolition to distortion through the addition to extra floors or the replacement of original windows with PVC. The site is interactive: visitors are encouraged to send us fresh information on the buildings shown and those that have come under threat.
The project is key in increasing awareness about the scale and urgency of the situation in Moscow. By gathering verified information about Moscow’s threatened buildings into one database, the scale of the crisis in the city will be established. We believe this will encourage the authorities to be more attentive to certain buildings and to the problem in general. We believe that increased public scrutiny in this field will force those who administer the law to stick to the law.
